Our mobile app keeps getting better - we're happy to announce that our mobile application has been improved to meet the global needs for remote working. All users will now find they are able to upload multiple files at once, upload large video files & access files offline on the go!
Thanks for the feedback from Clinked users (and our team) we've updated our mobile application with 3 new functionalities:
- Multiple files upload
- Large video upload
- Access files offline
With the move in the past month to remote working locations, we see the importance of enhancing the functionality of our mobile application (BTW - did you know it's available to all Clinked users on iOS & Play stores now?!) to increase a user's ability to securely upload & share files with clients - that's where our secure Clinked app comes in!
We will illustrate these functions using an example Clinked user story:
Like many, Clinked users are working remotely with clients and in this case the client is Clinked Capital. Budex works with Clinked Capital on their ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) matters across their investment portfolio. ESG reporting for them is very important given the pandemic underway so it's been a bit intense with the working relationship to deliver lately. In attempt to keep everyone uplifted and maybe even laughing, the Budex client manager has started weekly challenges with their team and the client. And, it's been sensational! Laughter has opened up the client relationship even in this chaotic and uncertain time.
The Clinked Capital team seems to like the physical challenges in nature so - this week's challenge is 40 Push-ups!
Let's see how you would use the Clinked mobile application to add multiple files in bulk, upload a video, and create offline file access.
Multiple File Uploads
As the challenge coordinator you need to add a couple photos you found online to the challenge folder.
To do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Clinked App on your mobile > navigate to the group you want to upload files to.
Step 2: Select the Folders icon & navigate to the folder to upload the files (or create a new folder using the + symbol at the bottom right of the screen).
Step 3: To add files, select the + symbol at the bottom right of the screen & choose "Upload" file
Step 4: On your mobile, navigate to the file location & select the files you want to upload then select "Open" on Android or "Done" on Apple to start the upload.
Step 5: Rename files by selecting the 3 vertical dots icon on Android or slide the file name to to right on Apple & choosing "Rename"

In the Clinked app, you've always been able to upload files of various types including documents, photos, audio files and video. The new functionality allows for multiple files to be uploaded from the same location in bulk. We would like to note that the speed of upload will depend on several factors such as file size and internet connection. Also, as always, make sure your mobile application and operating system are up to date.
Large Video File Upload
Everyone has been busy getting their video proof of their 40 pushups uploaded into the folder you've created and it's time for you to do the same! While Clinked always allowed uploading of videos via the mobile application, video file size limitations made it difficult to upload larger files. With our new feature update, you'll be able to upload that 93 MBs video file created on your mobile's camera to share your larger files.
This is a similar process to multiple files, however we recommend uploading videos 1 at a time depending on the file size.
To start the process, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Clinked App on your mobile > navigate to the group you want to upload files to
Step 2: Select the Folders icon & navigate to the folder you'd like to upload the files (or create a new folder using the + symbol at the bottom right of the screen.
Step 3: To add files, select the + symbol at the bottom right of the screen & choose "Upload" file
Step 4: Navigate to the location of the files on your phone & select the files you want to upload then select "Open" to start the upload.
The upload speed of videos will vary depending on your internet connection. We recommend using a stable WiFi connection or 5G network when possible for a faster upload.

Access Files Offline
Would you like to access these or any file without downloading it each time? Use our Offline functionality to access files any time without internet connection on your mobile device.
All files are available offline when you turn on the "Make Available Offline" option.
To activate on Android devices, navigate to the file then select the 3 vertical dots icon on the right & select "Make Available Offline." Now navigate to the file & you'll see the option to "Open the File" using an application on your phone.
To activate on Apple devices, navigate to the file then select the 3 vertical dots icon on the right & select "Make Available Offline." Now navigate to the file & you'll see the option to "Open the File" using an application on your phone.
This will also work with many file types including documents, photos, audio files and video.

Will I get notifications?
Yes, notifications for all file uploads can be turned on in the Clinked app. Whether you like to have pop ups or banner notifications, you can choose your notification preferences to stay up to date while you are mobile. Do so by updating your notification preferences in the application settings area of your smart phone.
